Do your containers contain PCR & if so, what percent?
A:
While we use regrind from our own processes, we do not add outside PCR materials to our manufacturing process. For custom application PCR can be utilized in Blow Molding and Corrugated but consideration must be given to the potential loss of physical properties. If you desire PCR in order to comply with the California Rigid Packaging Program, you may want to consider using the CUBITAINER® in place of your rigid package as it is exempt from the requirements.

Q: Can I sterilize your containers?

Yes, Gamma Irradiation or Ethylene Oxide Gas sterilization is recommended. Again, information on sources for sterilization is available through Technical Service. Sterilization via autoclaving or steam sterilization is not possible.
Q: How high can I stack your containers?
How high can I stack your containers?
A:
While each application is unique, normally we would recommend that the filled rigid plastic containers, 3H1 or 1H1 containers be stacked no more than 3 layers high per pallet and two pallets high. Factors that can affect the stack height include the weight of the product and storage conditions, i.e., humidity & temperature. Our Technical Service department has the ability to evaluate each application using industry standard software.
Q: What barriers to Oxygen or Solvents are available?
What barriers to Oxygen or Solvents are available?
A:
We can apply a PVDC or SARAN coating to our containers to provide a barrier to Oxygen to improve the shelf life of Oxygen sensitive products. We utilize the Fluoroseal fluorine treatment method to improve the barrier to certain aromatic hydrocarbons. Technical Service can provide the particulars on each treatment.
